The C.L.O.S.E. Methodology: A Five-Step Framework for a System-Driven Business
Many business owners grow to a point where everything still depends on them. Sales depend on their presence, decisions wait for their approval, and the team looks to them for every answer. The C.L.O.S.E. methodology, used by Kriishna Singhal in his business coaching, is a structured way to move past that point. It connects leadership, sales and systems into one framework so that growth no longer rests on one person.
C: Calibrate
Every improvement starts with a diagnosis. In this step the aim is to find the strategic leaks in leadership and sales: where decisions stall, where sales conversations lose momentum, and where the owner is doing work that someone else should own. Without this step, effort goes into fixing the wrong problem.
L: Layer
Once the gaps are clear, you build the process architecture and team behaviors that close them. For businesses selling high-ticket offers, this means a defined path from the first conversation to the close, and clear roles for each person involved. Layering means adding structure step by step, not rebuilding the whole business at once.
O: Optimize
In this step, repeatable workflows are identified where appropriate AI assistance can improve speed and consistency. The point is not to hand the business over to software. The underlying process stays clear and under your control, and AI is applied only where it helps.
S: Standardize
A process that works for one person or one location is not yet a system. Standardizing means institutionalizing what works across roles and regions, so that results do not change when a person changes.
E: Expand
Only after the earlier steps do you scale. Expansion here is measured: you grow with confidence, supported by a regular leadership cadence that lets you see whether the business is improving.
Who this framework is for
The methodology is designed for business owners who want stronger leadership, more reliable sales processes, better systems and less owner dependency. It is not a one-size-fits-all program. Your business stage, current challenges and goals decide where the coaching focuses first.
